Questions

Good to know.

Is there a Raycast for Windows?

Yes. LucidArc is a keyboard-first command bar built natively for Windows, in the spirit of Raycast and Spotlight on the Mac. One hotkey gives you instant file search, a calculator, currency and unit conversion, a clipboard manager, app launching, and AGI 01 for AI, all without ever touching the mouse.

Is LucidArc free?

Yes, and it stays free. LucidArc is free to download and use, with no account, no sign-up, and no paywall, and the app is open source under the MIT licence.

Does LucidArc work offline?

Yes. File search, the calculator, unit and currency conversion, and app launching all run fully offline. The AI features (web search, translation, writing, and code) connect only when you ask them to, and those requests are end-to-end encrypted.

What can the AI do?

Powered by AGI 01, LucidArc can translate text, draft emails, write and refactor code, and summarize. End any query with a question mark to search the live web with AI, right inside the bar.

What are the system requirements?

LucidArc runs on Windows 10 (version 2004 or newer) and Windows 11, 64-bit. It needs around 100 MB of RAM and less than 50 MB of disk space. It is so light that it runs smoothly on just about any PC, even an older, slower laptop that struggles with everything else.

How do I open LucidArc?

Press Ctrl + Space from anywhere in Windows to summon the command bar. Start typing, use the arrow keys to choose a result, and press Enter to run it. Press Esc to dismiss.
